Study Procedures Bone mineral density was measured in the lumbar spine and proximal femur by means of dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry at baseline and months 3, 6, and 12 and at the distal third of the radius in baseline and month 12. Scanning of the lumbar backbone and proximal femur was performed in duplicate at month and baseline 12. Analysis of the scans and quality control of the scanners and the individual scans were supplied by Synarc. Levels of calcium and intact parathyroid hormone, hematologic and chemical values, and serum degrees of anti-romosozumab antibodies were assessed at baseline and months 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12.Briefly, we recruited 156 prospectively,424 persons from 628 communities in 17 low-, middle-, and high-income countries .7-10 Recruitment began in January 2003. We selected the number and places of countries with a view toward balancing the goal of including a lot of communities in countries with a wide range of socioeconomic situations with the goal of recruiting individuals for whom effective long-term follow-up will be feasible. It had been not considered practical to implement stringent proportionate sampling of depends upon, any specific country, or any specific region.
