ARVO announces 2011 distinguished fellows in ophthalmology research The Association for Study in Eyesight and Ophthalmology is very happy to announce this year’s class of distinguished fellows. The name of Fellow of ARVO recognizes associates for their accomplishments, leadership and contributions to the Association. By accepting this honor, ARVO anticipates that fellows will continue steadily to serve as part models and mentors for individuals pursuing careers in eyesight and ophthalmology research and to further ARVO’s vision ‘ – to facilitate the advancement of eyesight research and the prevention and treat of disorders of the visual system worldwide .’ This includes advancing basic and clinical understanding and serving as the leading international forum for vision analysis and the primary advocate for vision research worldwide.
